Job Description
Our client, based in Dubai, is in search of an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead a significant Electrical Project in Guinea Conakry.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the electrical industry, particularly in power projects, and a proven track record in managing Energy and Power Turnkey projects for various organizations. Essential qualifications include expertise in Industrial Electrical Machinery, Grid Systems, Generators, UPS Management, Electrical constructions, Green Power, and Hydro Power plants.
The role requires effective team management, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between Guinea Conakry and Dubai.
Job Specification
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and guide a diverse team, including Electricians, Departmental Managers, and other professionals.
- Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination among team members.
Project Management:
- Formulate and execute project plans for timely completion within budget constraints.
- Oversee the implementation of electrical and power projects, including machinery equipment and gensets.
- Provide regular project status updates to the Management and Executive Team.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Develop cost-effective budgets for electrical projects.
- Monitor project expenses and implement measures to save costs where feasible.
- Technical Proficiency: a. Apply technical expertise to promptly troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues. b. Ensure optimal uptime for factories, machinery equipment, and power peripherals.
- Language and Cultural Competence:
- The incumbent must be bilingual (English & French) and capable of understanding French language and culture for effective communication with local teams and stakeholders.
International Travel:
Regularly travel between Guinea Conakry and Dubai as part of the hybrid nature of the position.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrate proven experience in electrical companies and large-scale power projects.
- Possess strong leadership skills with a track record of managing large teams. d. Experience in budgeting for projects. e. Participate in tender processes and have experience in preparing quotes.
- Fluency in French is essential.
- Previous experience in a hybrid role involving international travel
