Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Promote sales of lubricants through stores, dealers, distributors, independent workshops and fleet owners and owner operators in the country. Provide technical support and effectively manage customer queries related to product applications. Cooperate with the retail team on all matters relating to lubricants.
  • Manage and develop Business to Consumer (B2C) activities in Guinea in the lubricants sector in order to achieve the approved objective, ensure appropriate market coverage and coordinate all activities related to lubricants in the country in order to maximize the total commercial value of lubricants.
  • Guarantee the satisfaction of customers and business partners and thus achieve market share and growth objectives.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Promote sales and achieve C3 T amp; R goals in the above segments related to B2C using Sales tools
  • Respond to offers regarding B2C segment and obtain the appropriate authorizations
  • Work closely with the B2B team regarding the interface with B2B customers
  • Perform a credit risk assessment of all customers in the B2C segment, as recommended by the credit risk management system.
  • Develop a network of indicators in order to expand the client portfolio and actively promote the acquisition of local agents. Collect marketing information so that you can monitor competitor activities.
  • Determine the differentiated offers that Vivo Energy can propose to customers according to their needs, in order to develop a competitive advantage through a specific customer value proposition.
  • Provide forecasting through IBP processes to B2C channels and participate in IBP meetings to ensure a steady supply of products.
  • Cooperate with retailers and companies to harmonize prices and avoid cannibalization of products

Technical

  • Conduct technical visits and lubricant surveys at customer sites, including technical training sessions for B2C customers.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in lubricants and technical services.

Marketing

  • Liaise with the local marketing manager to implement marketing initiatives and brand management recommendations to strengthen our leading brands.
  • Implement HSSE MS and Vivo Energy RT platform requirements and comply with group HSSE requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of distributors to ensure compliance with group policies and standards and targets.

HSSE

Monitor the collection of used oil from customers as well as at the disposal site when this is part of the contracts

Requirements

Key Challenges:

  • Maintain existing customers in an increasingly competitive environment, which will result in increased activities of existing freelancers and majors, and develop the B2C network / portfolio.
  • Generate profitable share growth (volume growth above market rates through competitive unit margins) and maintain a clear leadership position through the development of new marketing initiatives in order to keep abreast of the competitive market.
  • Maintain and develop a key customer relationship through a customer focused strategy.

Job Knowledge, Skills amp; Experience:

  • Bac +4/5 Commercial Engineering, Commerce - Marketing, Commercial Management (Universities or Business Schools)
  • Minimum 5 years of Experience in Sales focused in indirect distribution, Marketing etc.
  • Good level in English
  • Local languages Knowledge are an advantage
  • Teamwork and good interpersonal relationships
  • Good understanding of the local business environment
  • Strong interface management skills
