Job Purpose:
Vivo Energy is seeking to create a step change in performance of the CR business.
The purpose of the role is to implement the Convenience Retail growth strategy through the development and implementation of an OU specific Convenience Retail plan.
This includes:
- Extending the CR footprint and offers
- An aggressive store refurbishment program
- Implementing Category and supplier management plans to maximize income.
- Negotiating and managing food partners, other alliances, and agencies
- Performing performance analysis for continuous improvement to optimize return on investment and assets.
- Introducing site systems, changes to the retailer contracts, and raising capability levels within the organization.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develops and owns an OU specific Convenience Retail plan based on the Convenience Retail strategic framework.
- Delivers the annual OU CR C3 margin budget across all income streams.
- Ensures that the Convenience Retail formats are delivered through the refurbishment program in line with the agreed Convenience Retail strategic framework.
- Develops and implements a tactical marketing plan that delivers customer value and the right ROIs in line with the agreed Convenience Retail strategic framework.
- Build supplier/partner relationships through joint business plans and favorable trade terms to maximize supplier/partner income.
- Ensures pricing policy is implemented in line with the agreed Convenience Retail strategic framework.
- Ensures macro and micro space is optimized in line with the agreed Convenience Retail strategic framework.
- Identifies and implements local ranging opportunities.
- Manages and maintains the product master file.
- Trains and develops Retailer capability in CR as well as direct reports.
- Works collaboratively with the Retail team to ensure high levels of customer service and operational execution.
- Implements Retail projects as necessary.
- Review CR and team performance and develop action plans that will get CR to exploit the full potential.
- Report on CR performance to the line manager and to the monthly CR review calls with the central team.
Prospect for new customer offers in line with consumer trends and deploy to make CR a destination for total customer experience.

Ability to manage the relationship with sales and operations effectively to ensure delivery of the plans at site

- Convenience Retail knowledge and experience.
- Professional Retail experience and a good overall understanding of the Retail Energy business is an advantage.
- Well-developed negotiation and analytical skills.
