Principal Accountabilities:
- To prepare and monitor yearly Maintenance and Operations Capex budgets and support Sales functions as Samp;D, Bamp;B/Mining and in preparing Growth Capital Expenditure budgets in liaison with Financial and Planning functions.
- To draw Investment Proposals, estimates, drawings, tender and contract documents, and purchase orders for Vivo Energy Guinea Capex and maintenance projects;
- To implement and follow up on Growth Capex projects in accordance with plan, budget, quality and in compliance with HSSE requirements;
- To report on Maintenance Capex and Opex commitment and spend status monthly
- To coordinate with the Finance department for the capitalization of commissioned Capex projects, regular inventory and disposal of Vivo Energy Guinea unused assets;
- To plan and organise all the maintenance work at various, Samp;D and Bamp;B/Mining sites in accordance with Group Standards and Procedures as well as best practices
- To ensure full implementation of Pragma Asset Management System
- To manage, motivate and train own and contractors staff to ensure high quality work conducted within HSSE standards;
- To carry out inspections and participate in audits as per Samp;D HSSE plan;
- To work in collaboration with Contracting and Procurement to pre-qualify contractor draft tenders and awards strategies so as to obtain best prices, value and quality.
- Ensure purchase orders for Engineering amp; Maintenance works are raised with suppliers, in accordance with Contract Board approval and follow up on payment;
- Maintain a Project Engineering amp; Maintenance Manual including procedures for all maintenance activities carried out in Vivo Energy Guinea;
- Provides project management review, control, and approval over multiple areas of engineering, procurement, and construction work for all capital and assigned expense projects
- Maintain and improve the standardized work process for effective project management, cost control, estimating and project scheduling to enable management of individual projects and overall portfolio performance.
- Responsible for performance of monthly project capital spend forecasting.
- Challenges and supports operational colleagues in Vivo Energy Guinea to ensure compliance with legislation and all requirements of the HSSE MS and Group standards in all operational activities
- Ensure cost effective delivery of engineering services through the use of fit-for-purpose standards, and practices. Deliver Capex project targets on quality, budget, schedule and construction safety.
- Coach and mentor staff, including development of appropriate training programs.
- Ensures proper staffing through attraction, coaching and development of people, covering aspects like Competences, Performance Management and Recognition amp; Reward.
Requirements

- Review engineering performance and provide an assurance process for asset integrity and engineering cost management
- Provide technical and project management support for Vivo Energy Guinea
- To maintain and implement global Distribution Engineering standards across Vivo Energy Guinea
- Raise the HSSE competence (and compliance) of the Engineering Team.
- Ensure that Vivo Energy Guinea capex is spent as per plan
- Develop the Competence of Engineering staff amp; create an efficient Networking with vivo energy
- Develop Competence of contractors
- Management of external professionals amp; contractors of different competence levels.
- Completion of multiple discipline projects on time, on budget amp; to specification.
Promote a high level of HSSE over a variety works type and contractors.
Job Knowledge, Skills amp; Experiences:
A professional engineer with demonstrated competence and experience in design, construction, maintenance and project management.
Shall be self-driven and be able to work in teams
Comprehensive knowledge of Vivo Energy service station design amp; HSSE specifications amp; standards
Knowledge of Vivo Energy construction, procurement amp; tendering processes
Project management experience
